The week starts with the player.

TNA coordinated the football schedule and the work around it with local coaching and facility partners. The group moved through technical sessions, finishing, football-specific strength, tactical work, a match with local players, and recovery blocks shaped around the training load.

TNA's role is to connect the pieces and keep the experience moving: the right session at the right time, reliable local coordination, and enough space between blocks for the players to recover and enjoy Tenerife.

Houston training experience highlights

Small-group detail

More touches. More feedback. Less wasted time.

With five players, sessions can stay close to the individual. Basic technical habits are sharpened first, then taken into finishing, pressure, and game-speed decisions.

Thursday 18

Strength moved straight into match day.

The friendly originally planned for Saturday was brought forward. After the football-specific strength block, the group joined local players and took the week's work into a live game.

Week one · Build the base

The opening week established a technical baseline before adding finishing, strength, and live opposition.

Opening sessions

Technical foundations

First touch, passing detail, body shape, and individual habits were worked in a small-group setting.

Midweek

Finishing under pressure

The group progressed into an evening finishing session built around movement, timing, and execution from different angles.

Thursday 18

Strength, then match day

Football-specific strength was followed by a match that mixed the Houston group with local players, moving the game forward from the original Saturday plan.

End of week

Recover and reset

A lighter recovery block gave the players time to absorb the work before the second week.

Week two · Add game detail

The second week develops the same players through more specific attacking, defensive, and physical work.

On the ball

Repeat with purpose

Technical details return at a higher speed, with less space and more decisions around every action.

Out of possession

Defensive habits

Positioning, pressure, cover, and recovery runs are connected to situations the players meet in real games.

In possession

Attacking relationships

Movement between lines, support angles, and the final action are worked around the needs of the group.

Between sessions

Strength and recovery

Physical work and recovery are placed around the pitch sessions so the players can train with quality throughout the week.
